Sony's PlayStation console is the brand's most successful
console in many regions. In this tech world, PlayStation 5 is still one of the
hardest things to get your hands on. According to CFO Hiroki
Totoki reported, that it won’t get any easier in the coming times. As analysts
told that Sony doesn’t expect the PlayStation 5 supply to improve any time soon.
As per the report in Bloomberg, CFO Hiroki Totoki said that it
is difficult for Sony to keep up with the demand for the PS5 and that the
situation is also likely to continue into 2022. Totoki was quoted by Bloomberg
as saying “I don’t think demand is calming down this year and even if we secure
a lot more devices and produce many more units of the PlayStation 5 next year,
our supply wouldn’t be able to catch up with demand,"
Sony’s
PlayStation 4 sold 14.8 million consoles in its first full fiscal year.
The latest PlayStation 5 has sold 7.8 million units globally. Sony PlayStation
app hosts 100 million installs on Play Store.
As per a new report, PlayStation 5 might be getting a new
internal boost specifications. The PS5 is a console that has been met with a
mixed opinion regarding the external design of the device. The gaming console
features a large white tower with its wing-tips and a contrasting black middle
strip and is certainly a step in a new direction for the company.
As we expect, The console might get a slight redesign
internally in 2022, and may it give a slight performance boost. They could
feature a newer version from AMD with a 6NM design.
Sony's next-generation game console, the PlayStation 5 is
available to purchase in India. The standard edition is priced at Rs
49,990, and a digital edition with no disc drive priced at Rs
39,990.
